Executive Chairman and Co-Founder
Tim Sullivan is a successful entrepreneur with a track record of building emerging technology companies specializing in cybersecurity. Hundreds of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies purchase well over $100 million annually in cybersecurity products from companies Tim started and managed from the founding stage.
Before Caveonix, Tim led nPulse Technologies from a 4-person startup focused on providing packet capture technology, to a position in cybersecurity as the premier provider of network forensics for the world’s fastest networks. Numerous leading customers use nPulse products from the U.S Intelligence Community, Wall Street banks, to Tier 1 telco providers. In May 2014, FireEye purchased nPulse.
Before nPulse, Tim founded and was CEO of Fidelis Security Systems, another leading cybersecurity company, where he was a crucial player in the development of the data leakage prevention (DLP) market. In August 2012, General Dynamics purchased Fidelis. Fidelis is today independent, private equity-backed, and named Fidelis Cybersecurity. Additionally, Tim is Chairman of Syncurity, a leading Security Orchestration, and Automation (SOAR) company.
Tim holds both a BA and an MBA from Columbia. He is a former U.S. Marine Corps Infantry Platoon Commander. Active in veterans causes, Tim presently sits on the board of Yellow Ribbon Fund and is a past board member of Dog Tag Bakery.
CEO and Co-Founder
Kaus Phaltankar most recently served as a Senior Vice President for Dell Technologies. Before that Kaus was Global President of Virtustream Security Solutions, a Dell Technologies company, where he was an evangelist and a technology leader developing compliance and risk management solutions for private, public and hybrid clouds, globally.
Kaus was the founder and CEO at ViewTrust Technology where he developed and implemented solutions for cloud and enterprise Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and Continuous Compliance Automation and Risk Monitoring. Virtustream acquired ViewTrust in 2014.
Kaus has US patents for designing advanced data center architecture for the highest level of resiliency and reliability and authored the book “Implementing Secure Intranets and Extranets,” with a foreword by Internet pioneer Dr. Vint Cerf. He has presented at the World Bank, AFCEA, and the National Defense University, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami, teaching a course in Cyber Security.
Tim Ryder has over 15 years of experience as CFO in the software and manufacturing sectors for both public and privately held companies. Tim has completed several M&A and capital formation transactions and has substantial experience managing high-growth international organizations.
As CFO, Tim oversees Cavionix’s capital structure, finance, accounting, HR and admin functions.
Tim has an MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, a BA in Math from The Citadel and has been an adjunct professor at Georgetown University teaching Decision Sciences in the Foreign Service School.
Senthil Kumar Mohan has more than 20 years of experience in driving innovation through technology in the big data and security industry. Before Caveonix, Senthil was a Vice President and Distinguished Engineer at AOL a Verizon company where he was responsible for rolling out the Big Data and Analytical Platforms for the AOL Advertising Business Unit.
As CTO for Caveonix, Senthil oversees the company’s global product development team that supports the R&D and data science teams and is responsible for maintaining, developing, and operating the company’s market-leading technology solutions such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data.
VP Product Management and Planning
Chris Davis, CISA, CISSP, C|CISO, is an author, speaker, and industry contributor, driving product strategy for Caveonix. He has trained and presented in information security and certification curriculum for enterprise and governments worldwide and has three patent submissions.
As an author, Chris has written and contributed to topics covering information security, forensics, and auditing. Two books that he commissioned, Hacking Exposed: Computer Forensics and IT Auditing: Using Controls to Protect Information Assets, became core curriculum components for many universities.
Chris has held positions at Oracle, Amazon, VMware, VCE, Critical Start, Accudata Systems, ForeScout Technologies, and Texas Instruments and holds a bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering Technologies from Thomas Edison and a Master’s in Business from the University of Texas at Austin, where he specialized in Information Security.
Customer Success and Technical Operations
John Nelson has more than 30 years of experience bringing products to market and driving successful customer engagements. He is responsible for leading Caveonix’s customer success and technical operations.
At Apple, John was responsible for global brand management for the Macintosh product line, Apple’s highest revenue generator at the time. After that he successfully managed Silicon Image’s HDMI and DVI display interface products, providing the revenue ramp for the company’s IPO in 1999. John then led strategic partners and technology licensing for digital content protection products for Dolby Laboratories. John has been working in cybersecurity and software-defined networks since 2010, most recently as CEO of Eunomic, which offered multi-tenant network access control products based on OpenFlow.
John has an MS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a BS in Marine Science from the US Coast Guard Academy.
Kelly Bryant has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise data center, cloud, & IT market.
Most recently Kelly was the Vice President of Product Management at Virtustream where he was responsible for the Cloud Management Platform (CMP) and Cloud Risk and Compliance software solutions.
Previously, he was the Vice President of Marketing and Product Planning at LSI Corporation (purchased by Broadcom) where he held overall responsibility for strategic planning, product management, customer marketing, and product marketing.
Kelly has an MBA from the University of Chicago and an MSEE from the University of Florida.
